Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Body Editor team ("we", "us") handles information when you use the Body Editor iOS app (the "App") and the website bodyedit.dailyapptools.com (the "Website"). Body Editor team is the controller of your personal data.
1. Your photos stay on your device
All photo editing (face, body, skin, makeup, hair, retouch, adjust and filters) is performed entirely on your device. We do not upload, store, view or share your photos or the face/body landmarks detected in them. Edit projects are saved locally and are removed when you delete them or uninstall the App.
2. Permissions we request
- Photo Library (read) – to let you pick photos to edit. Only the photos you select are accessed.
- Photo Library (add) – to save your edited photos when you choose to export.
The App does not use the camera.
3. Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to run your account and subscription:
- Account data – your email address and a user ID, if you create an account (email and password, or Sign in with Apple, which may provide a private relay email).
- Anonymous ID – when you start a purchase without an account, we create a random anonymous user ID to link your purchase until you create an account.
- Technical data – IP address, browser/device type and request logs, processed by our providers for security, fraud prevention and tax calculation.
- Purchase data – which plan you have, its status, renewal and expiry dates, and transaction IDs.
- Billing data – for Website purchases, Paddle collects your payment details, billing email and country. We never receive your full card number.
The App and Website do not include advertising, analytics, tracking or attribution SDKs. We do not collect your name, phone number, contacts or advertising identifier, and we do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and local storage
We use only strictly necessary browser storage: to keep you signed in and to complete checkout. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
4. Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the service:
- Google Firebase Authentication – account sign-in (email, user ID).
- RevenueCat – keeps your Body Editor Pro status in sync between the Website and the App (user ID, purchase data, billing email).
- Paddle.com – Merchant of Record for Website purchases (payment, tax, receipts, refunds).
- Apple – In-App Purchases and Sign in with Apple.
- Cloudflare – hosting of the Website.
Some providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How we use information
- Create and secure your account;
- Unlock Body Editor Pro on the Website and in the App, and provide subscription support;
- Comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Legal bases (where GDPR applies): performance of our contract with you (account and subscription), legal obligations (tax and accounting records), and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
6. Your choices and rights
- Delete your local projects inside the App, or uninstall the App to remove all local data.
- Delete your account at any time in the App's account settings or on the Website (Account page). Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel it first.
- To delete your purchase records held by our providers, email us. We process requests within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons.
- Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to processing of your personal data, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us using the email below.
7. Data retention and security
Photos and projects remain only on your device. Account data is kept until you delete your account. Anonymous IDs with purchases are kept so you can still claim your purchase, until you ask us to delete them. Purchase records are kept as long as required by law. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Children
The App and Website are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with a new effective date.
